6th 1992 Extra's, a compilation album of demos and studio work is released charting incredibly at Number 15


7th 1980 The Jam play two gigs at The Rainbow Theatre as part of the Rainbow celebrations. Mick Talbot guests on Keyboards.


10th 1979 The band return to America, this time to smaller venues where they find a much more enthusiastic audience. The tour is a success.


10th 1980 Jam mania is growing and Polydor re release all of their previous singles, 6 of which immediately re chart.


15th 1977 The first Brighton Gig, where it all ended 5 years later, at the Brighton Embassy Cinema


17th April 1977 The band are back in London supporting The Stranglers at The Roundhouse


24th 1980 It is announced that The Jam have tied The Beatles' record for the number of songs in the top 50 of the UK charts.


26th 1977 The Jam record the first of the three 'John Peel' sessions live for Radio One.


29th 1977 The bands debut single In The City is released
